Medical studies have confirmed that regular consumption of fish or Omega-3 extracted from  fish can help to improve health and resist  disease. Experiments concluded that 0.5 to 3.0 mg  Omega-3 per day for adults can help the body maintain a healthy condition.   U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently proposed  that daily intake of Omega 3  for adult should be no more than 3 grams, intake of fish products is up to 2 grams.
